The Glenmore 24 Trail Race is Scotland’s first 24 hour off-road ultra marathon. Runners have 24 hours to see how many loops of the four mile forest route they can complete. We also offer a 12 hour race which can serve as a nice introduction to ultra running and also the 24 hour format. In 2015 we introduced a relay class for teams of four runners.
Based just outside Aviemore in the Scottish Highlands, the race takes place on forest trails by Loch Morlich in the shadow of the Cairngorms. The route itself has some stunning views and has a nice varied profile rather than just being on the flat which as we all know is very boring.
There’s a base camp at the start/finish area for you to pitch your tent for you and your support crew. We no…
The race first took place in 2011 with 27 runners across the two classes and celebrates its fifth anniversary in 2015 with its biggest number of starters yet.
The race takes place on the first Saturday of every September you can find out more information on how to enter by visiting the links above.
The next Glenmore 24 Trail Race will take place on the 3rd September 2016.
